In partnership with Spelthorne Borough Council, we’ve transformed an area at Staines station, Gresham Road into a community garden that provides fresh produce and enhances local biodiversity.
We are a community-led small team of volunteers who like to learn and share food-growing skills, see an increase in greens and understand more about nature. We established community food-growing gardens in Staines, Ashford and Egham.
Our volunteers have established community food gardens to:
- bring communities together to learn how to grow their own food
- promote healthy eating
- raise awareness of how food is produced impacts on the climate and nature
- increase biodiversity
